About Us
Tang Hall Employment was set-up as a charity in 2023, in York, UK.
It is a 'sister charity' to Tang Hall SMART CIC, and whilst it enjoys a close relationship with this social enterprise, it is entirely independent, has a different legal structure, its own constitution, and its own board of trustees.
Tang Hall Employment and Tang Hall SMART work with similar clients (young adults with additional needs or adults who have experienced homelessness), but whereas Tang Hall SMART is focussed on education, Tang Hall Employment works with people who are further on in their journey, and are ready to develop their employability.
Our Story
Most of our work with adults who have experienced homelessness takes place in our office space at SPARK Piccadilly, where we meet clients for job-coaching or key-working sessions. We also offer an outreach mentoring service for people who would like to develop their employabilty and gain work at some point in the future, but who have other challenges to face before prioritising this. We are accepting new applicants.
The work we do with young adults with SEND takes place at the Burnholme Centre in Mossdale Avenue and tends to follow a traditional supported employment model. Currently there are no vacancies for new applicants at Burnholme.
