Employment Support for People who have been Homeless
TANG HALL IPS PROGRAMME
Welcome to the Tang Hall IPS Programme. Our purpose is to support the employment of adults who are disadvantaged by homelessness, addiction and complex needs. We offer job coaching and key working to people who have fallen through the cracks in society and need extra help, specificically those suffering from homelessness, addiction and complex needs. We also run a series of interventions alongside this programme, focusing on and to encourage expression and creativity.
Peer Mentoring Training Programme for People with Lived Experience of Homelessness
If you are someone who has lived experience of homelessness, and would like to put this to good use to help others, then you may be interested in our in-house Level 2-accredited Peer Mentoring Training Programme. This year-long course will start in November 2026, and is free to people who would like to gain the qualification, which will include a supported voluntary placement in a charity or social enterprise in York (summer 2027), and then the opportunity for a couple of months of supported paid work on successfully completing the course.
It is anticipated that the course will take up 2 hours per week of guided learning hours plus a couple of hours of work done independently.
Further details to be published late October.
